The Grove by the Mystic Ruins
Photo taken of the riverside campsite appropriated by Dr. Ashya and her party. The crew had discovered the remains of the fabled temples of commerce. The group knew their town had to have been bigger than it is today. Why else would there be a grid of canals cutting the landscape into 5 kilometer square tiles?
Ashya was thankful her friends believed in her vision. For ten years the media derided her as crazy and obsessed with the past. The typical viewpoint of the public was extraterrestrials built the crumbling bridges and cracked fields of concrete to land their star ships, or to hold vast religious ceremonies.
But today Ashya and her company celebrate their work and continue to drift along the ancient canals. They have evidence the waterways may have once carried cars, trucks, and motor homes.
